Hello again,

Can anyone tell me what I should replace on the 60,000 mile service apart from the Cam belt. If possible best oil to use, spark plugs???etc??

I have the cambelt and my mechanic has quoted me £140 to fit it so I might as well get everything else sorted at the same time.

Thanks all, your help is really appreciated to a new owner like me.

If you want spark plugs, there is a section in the traders forum who specialise in spark plugs. Ask there.

The plugs do last 50,000 miles though.

If you are changing the timing belt, change the water pump, fan powersteering and air con belt, cam seals ( I think where changed on mine), and you may as well change the thermostat too.

Hi Ant,

The spark plugs section has gone from the traders forums but still very much in busines. You can still access the 'special offers' page at http://www.sparkplugs.co.uk/pages/specials/300zx.htm . No stock of BKR7EIX-11 at the moment but everything else is available.

Many standard Z owners find BKR6EIX-11 work well (better in my opinion) and are cheaper than the standard PFR6B-11C. If you've done the standard mods (chip, exhaust, boost and intake) then Denso IK22 Iridium might be worth considering, one grade colder than standard - these are the same plugs that HKS market for extra cash.

HTH!

hi iam a newbie and just had my new z for 3 days whats the price of a 60,000 service???? i know its a big job

Thanks alot for all your info. Seems like there is a load to change as well as the cam belt.

Any ideas on oil?? Mobil 1 Fully synthetic - 15w/50???

As for the price my mechanic charges me £20 pound an hour so he has predicted 7 hours work. Probably a bit longer now as I have to have all the other bits changed.

Thanks all again for your help.
