Im coming to join you lot,im changin from a sx to a zx tt which im buying of a friend who has had it for 5 years but since he has had its done 10 k and 35 k in its life time the only prob is its limited and he hasnt taken it of wot do i need to do & buy

Ok then its sounds like its a chip for me ,is it really a must that i change to uk clocks to fully derestrict it or can i jus get away with leavin in the jap clocks and a chip for a full derestriction:)

I think, but an not sure, that your clocks will not be correct unless you change them, or put one of those really nice stickers over the KPH reading.

 

Do it properly and get some uk clock is my 2p worth.

 

And Sraaee, you reading this post still, try and get your "advice" right, I know its hard for you but, once again you have given misleading info.

Yeah, you can leave the jap clocks in and just fit the chip.

there is a mod to the jap clocks, so that they read in mph. You change a 31ohm resistor for a 22ohm one IIRC, but I got too hamfisted with putting the needle back on and knackered it . You know when you think it needs just one more little push and .....b******s.

what resistor is it? might do that to mine somtime

Right for what its worth ,,i have a jap import,, july this year ,,and i have an HKS speed defencer wired in and a speedo in kph and my hicas is fine and my auto box (wheres the rabits foot and must touch wood,and,,) is to and i then can tell people that i`ve had my car off the clock , it just sounds good , but the auto runs off the revs and the speedo on kick down so be careful , hicas and cruise also ,,anyway i`m a novice compared to some of you but its logical that problems can happen,,,er,, uhm i`ll go now!!!
