How can I get more power?

My import has a modified ECU but I haven't found anybody who has been able to identify what the chip is (just a ROM with Jap writing on it)

I know the car is putting out more power than standard but with the Jap guages it's tricky making comparisons.

I have a K&N cone intake and HKS drager exhaust and want to up the power.

How do you go about upping the boost etc in this case (new known ECU?). How is boost increased? By the ECU settings alone or do I have to use some sort of boost controller/bigger injectors etc?

Simple for you "tool jockeys" i'm sure... LOL

The boost is controlled by the ECU, also you could get a boost controller to adjust boost on the go.

you need to establish how much boost you are running...

The ecu controls the stock on/off solenoid not the % boost. The way to up the boost to put in boost jets, bleed valves or new controllable solenoid (using a boost controller) in the wastegate line.

Try to find out what ecu you have and like warren says, what boost you are really running.

Don't go over 15psi on stock injectors unless you realise you may max out the injectors at high rpm.

If you copy the jap writing on your chip very carefully and e mail it to me I could show it to one of the Japs at work and see if it translates. It might not make sense though, funny things can happen when you convert japanese text.
