Anyone got 18" wheels & Traction control.

If so what setting you got for T & U i.e. Driven and Reference wheels ?

I did have the stock wheel settings in there i.e.

00631 on the fronts (reference) 225/50 x 16

00627 on the backs (driven) 245/45 x 16

However now I have ....

00653 on the fronts (reference) 245/40 x 18

00642 on the backs (driven) 265/35 x 18

I have not changed any other settings and yet I now have slip at 0% slip !!!!.

What tyres you guys got on and what settings you got in there ? And do you get any slip ?

i got 225/40/18 all round and I actually measured the circumference of the tyre and it gave a diameter of 00641.

you need to plug in a laptop and log the wheel speeds then adjust the ppm on the sensors. i just had to do this when i fitted my 18's

I counted the rises on the the ABS ring on the front and kept that constant then changed the value for the rear. until on the log the front and rear wheels were giving hte same road speed.

It's quite cool as you can log your top speed in the gears etc, and if you can get the time index to work you can work out your acceleration times too.

it also doens't really take account of trye wear, if you have good fronts and worn rears it can knock it out by a couple of %.

stu - can you bring your laptop with you on Sun, im still running on the default setting & would like to see if it can be set up any better

(does it have a plastic tyre option  )

:D

Was going to bring it along mate to run cozult diags on the cars that turn up. since there are only a few of us. Can play with the TC as well.

there's no option for plastic tyres, I think you just use the wet setting constantly :D

heres a thought , or a question, does taking the battery lead off to reset the ecu, also reset the RTLC?

The Race Logic will reset when the battery is disconnected.

Least I am sure it does. I have had to so mine from scratch a few times after disconnecting the battery.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure that it does reset. I don;t think I have ever had to play around with mine again after disconnecting the battery.

If it does reset then what does it reset to ?

it doesn't reset, not even if you take it out of the car and post it to someone else. :)
