just e-mailed 3g brakes for a price on there big disk conversion, which was a set of 310mm grooved rotors, and mounting brackets for my existing callipers!!

the price was £425 is there a cheaper way of doing this conversion as all i need is the rotors and mounting brakets,

if it came to the crunch i could manufacture my own brackets and i would only need the disks!!

cheers

I have this kit and am waiting for the Disks to arrive , been on order for the last 6 weeks , The cost of shipping this Kit from the US was approx $200 so have sourced the Disks from the UK

Should hopefully have it fitted this weekend

Hi,

I brought a pair of Brembo d+g disks off e-bay US and the shipping was only $60, so it sounds like the cost of that kit is really about $450:( ......Bagins, if you don't mind me asking, where did you get the caliper spacers from and what did they cost and are the VR4 disks hard to get hold of?

Baz

I bet they are the ones that Bren designed & commisioned for the S14.

My mate has a set of these on his S13 and with mintex 1155's he can't get them to fade on track, the S13 is a bit lighter though obviously.

I've just about fitted a 315 kit for about £80 (discs and brakets). :)

Fettled (redrilled and spigotted) BMW M3 discs and a set of brackets designed by an SXOC member.

Im using Zed calipers with mintex 1155 pads, they should rock. :)

315's look a bit lost still under the wheels though, there's clearance for 365's. :D Only problem is finding big discs for sensible money.
