YOu cant say one car is unreliable and another is. Its just the luck of the draw sometimes.

I've just read the whole of the GTO Thread on this, they're as up for it as we are.

When's it happening????

Did I read 23rd Jan 2004

Hi Glenn

It's unofficially the 25th Jan - day after the RR meet in Coventry. I think that this has yet to be confirmed based on numbers and interest.

I'll put up a seperate thread to gauge the interest for 25th..

I have not come up agains a GTO yet on the roads but am really looking forward to taking one on. After toasting a M plate skyline from a roaling start I should totally obliterate a GTO, should be a lough. On the road is were it really counts, thats were you get the respect, 1/4 mile times are good for telling you how quick your car is on a 1/4 mile run, but in the real world it's on the road that counts. I have not tried a 1/4 run yet but will do soon, i'm going to the RR day 24th Jan don't think I can make it to the pod.

The Skyline you toasted was probably a GTS (single turbo) and to be honest they are not that fast......now if it was a GTR then you would of probably been toasted yourself so i don't see your logic when you say you will "obliterate" a GTO when the GTO is faster than a GTS Skyline

I can vouch for that, I walked all over a brand spanking yellow GTS skyline rolling from 2nd gear onwards, uphill as well. GTR's are a different sport.

"Probably a GTS" You were not even there m8 so don't give me "Probably a GTS" LOL. The Skyline I toasted was seriously quick but not as quick as me. He even had the cheak to pull in my lane when he saw me gaining on him, poor looser. If someone toasts me (nobody has ever done that, not even come close) then I will acknowledge it.

I've never been overtaken since I started modding my Z and I've made a couple of GTO's and WRX Scooby's look like they were standing still.

Blasted past a Ferrari 348 up a motorway slip road like it was hardly trying (but from the noise, he was!)

I raced a Supra for about 15 miles (we were just messing about for an hour after spotting each other in traffic LOL) over country roads and a few A roads. I overtook him twice but kept letting him past to listen to the huge Blitz exhaust he had fitted :)

When we stopped at a petrol station to have a chat he was gutted to find out my auto box was broke and I only had 1st and 2nd gears! LOL

The only thing thats ever given me a decent race was a 911 Turbo (model before current one). I got stuck in a jam on a dual carriageway and he came along side, when the traffic ahead cleared from rolling 10mph up to about 100 we were dead level before we both had to slow again.

If my engine was in my car I'd give this a go! LOL
