Anybody used turbosport in Bedfordshire?

I see in JP that they're offering hybrid turbo's (19 psi) fitted for £1395.

Also do a full blue printed 15 psi re-build for £2585, & 20 psi inc lightened flywheel, low compression re-build for £3290.

Wondered how this compares to SE?

It includes VAT, and doesn't mention anything else, so worth a look maybe.

Exchange turbo (std) is £395 inc VAT which also seems pretty good.

Both prices seem really impressive, However there a FEW companies out there who have specialised in Zeds for years and supplying/fitting turbo's, average price from the quickest company at doing this job, cos they have done the most is £2,100, so a big difference in price from Turbosport, who i assume no one here as ever heard off, cos if they had, we would have heard by now, so if you go this route with them, you may end up getting what you pay for, be careful. On a side note about the tubs themselves it's really the same thing as above, however if they fail for any reason quite quickly, which some companies ones are known to do, it's money shelled again, so little now can cost more later.

cheers

Hi Alex,

I agree with everything smithy said!

Hybrid can mean almost anything - if19psi is the max they cant be 360' roller bearing turbos and if you are thinking about an upgrade then really you should look look to 360' if not roller bearings.

If you are looking to replace because your existing ones are knackered i know Smithy can offer a good alternative - i went for smithy's stage 2-3 roller bearings for a performance increase. Hopefully i should be able to post the figures in a few weeks.

SE do a roller bearing T28 which has more lag but more top end that smithy's stage 2-3 and are a bit more expensicve and if you 've got money to burn i would reccomend the Greddy TD05-16G.

Kindest Regards,

Alex

they should be either 360 deg thrust OR roller bearing if there hybrids.

if neither then avoid them imo

sounds very cheap to me..... almost to good to be true;) :D

It doesn't say too much in the ad other than ceramic ball bearing turbo's.

Page 88 of November's Jap performance.

I'm thinking that they're fairly new as the website has f all on it.

30 psi re-build offered at £6680. That seems an awful lot of boost for a Z.

Might send them a mail out of curiosity. My turbo's are fine at the moment anyway, I was just window shopping!
