Is there any advantage to a Dynapack? A place near me (in Coventry) does a Dynapack session for £100 an hour. The website looks good- nice clean place with what seems to be well trained staff. Thor Racing in Coventry.

The Dyno is portable and seems to give more precise information than a rolling road, but I know nothing about it. Just wondered if it's worth doing, as everyone seemed to get a lot out the recent rolling road day.

So how is a Dynapack better? or isn't it, just different?

It measures at the wheels power?

The place seems to be a good one. Very professional. Looks like that will be another good day out.

The advantage of a dynopack is there is not chance of wheel spin, which will ruin your tyres and not give you a correct reading.

There also no chance of the car skidding off the rollers. Imagine wheels which are doing 140mph on rollers and the rollers locking up or the wheels skipping out and gripping on the floor. You car will plough through any one who is infront of the car and the wall too.

This seems like a 'very good thing' then. Although I have not seen the place, from what I can make out, it is good. Is it more expensive because of this? Do you get more information at the end of the session?

I have. I just wondered people's opinion of it.

Sorry.

Well, from what I read on the website it seems a lot better than just a standard rolling road. Sorry if I pissed you off with what seems to be a meaningless question. i am quite good at asking those. Just ignore me :)

its a very good system(Dynapack),but correct me if i am wrong,it can take what seems an eternity to set each car up,as i witnessed at a few shows this year,Tony

If the location is big enough and there is enough stands, you could be dynoing one car while you are jacking the next one up.
