rear dif oil seal?

the rear diff offside seal is leaking, ive got a new seal (£7.00) ready to put in, am i right in saying that you can pull the driveshaft out (on spline) and remove old seal, then tap new one back in?

 

or is there ALOT more to it than that?

 

can some one please tell me how to do it or is it a job qualified garages?

    My mechanic did mine said it was a tough job to do, rear silencers had t come off as well for some reason, maybe to drop shaft.
