Removed the front end of the convert and fiddling around with the air intakes!!!

Noticed after the airfilter as each pipe goes to each bank, there is a piece of pipe that ataches to it and bypasses the air filter and goes straight to the air inlet?

What is this for?

I think I know what part you mean......these come from the recirc valves.

Hi Steve,

I don't think they are, this on the NA engine! These holes are on the underside of the air intake and seem to bypass the filter going to the air intakes by the arches

you mean these ? :

those are on the NA only and are actually there to catch water that gets into the intake !?

Thanks Lymon,

Where does the water go because I don't remember any outlet on the pipe?

There isn't..

The water doesn't go anywhere, until they're full and then you have a problem, because the water is sucked into the intake.

So if you have a NA, I think it's best to check them once a year or so..
