Right, the track day is now all clear to go-ahead. we are looking to book it for Saturday 6th March 2004 at Binbrook airfield Nr Grimsby.

 

We are trying to keep the numbers to 30 MAX to avoid over-crowding. We would like this to be an all Zed affair if possible, and i have made a few phone calls and have arranged for the Nemesis Veilside 350z to join us ;) (thank you please Avid)

 

 

Please show a definite response of either yes or no if you would like to attend. Prices are likely to be around £90 for the whole day, with only us on the track.

 

It will be a wicked day for sure so please post below with your interest.

Seem to be a fair few interested now,would it not be a good idea to book it up with Binbrook,as these dates that they have for the trackdays may soon fill up,the 200plus club mailed me today and they are having one on the 8 april if i remember right,allso on day they will be using the 2 mile straight airfield to do top speed runs(included in cost)plus we can add to the numbers a we get closer the date as we can have up to 64 cars i think,and we can include provisional bookings,just need to know whats happening as i may book with 200plus club if this does not go ahead ;)

I've been thinking.......

Harve did a 15 min track time at Trax last year which he said was the nuts, now although 15 mins is not enough to do any real danage to the brakes tyres etc, it's long enough to get a feel for the track.

 

If enough people are interested I can maybe arrange for Trax to give up a 15 min or 30 slot purely for 300zx's ?. That way people can get to have a track blast without having too muych worry that goes with it.

 

How's this sound ?

Exactly my thoughts and I'd definately be up for Trax.

Sounds mint. I'd only just changed car and I wasn't confident enough in it (either chuckability wise or fault-finding) to do that much hard driving in one day, and I'm a bit peed off I missed it, to be honest. But I'm ready now. :D

 

You don't have to drive at the limit, just have some fun! If all you want to do is see what 140mph is like, that's a good enough reason, even if you don't peel any rubber at all!

I'll have a word with the Trax organiser and set up a new thead.

Pitty Silverstone dont allow camcorders in cars on the track. :(

The guys at Brands said no camcorders because they are a loose item in the car that could smack you in the head if you have an 'off'. Makes sense really. He did say that one mounted professionally - ie not with velcro on the dash :D - would be ok.
