It will come off!!!

I've started to remove the heads on my Z for inspection...but, i can't cet the cover off the manifold (n/s), any ideas - all the nuts are off but it's stuck somewhere?

Has anyone changed a head gasket with the engine still in the car before?

it's a tt import, (autobox)

The cover should just fall off - there's nothing to hold it once the 3 or 4 bolts are taken out...

It looks like it should but it don't! have u taken the head off one of these? it looks impossible but i'm gonna try it before i attempt to take out the engine as that looks like a b@*tard of a job.

Engine out is a doddle :D Done loads :slap: Honestly, its not that bad a job.

i just took the heads off mine, the drivers side isnt so bad but the n/s WILL get stuck on the dip stick tube. The way to do it is keep the turbo and manifold connected to the head and just remove everything that holds the head down! its not so bad at all then you need to lift it up and out. The cover is held on by 8 bolts and the outer ones dont use gaskets so no doubt it will be glued down hence why it wont come off! good luck:dance:
