I can set you guys up with the Eibach Pro Kit springs and KYB AGX shocks if there's any interest and if it's cheaper to get the products from the US.

I'm interested in all deals right now, I'm still looking, what prices are we looking at?

cheers,

Jez.

The package would be around $615 USD / 430 pounds.

Shipping is approximately $100 USD / 70 pounds for the spring/shocks to the UK via Emery Worldwide.

I can also offer the 300 Degree front camber kits for 56 pounds

Hi,

have you checked the forsale forum as George my brother is selling Tokico Illumina shocks and spring or is willing for a swap for stock wheels with rubber.

Thanks for the quick reply...!!!

The average sort of deals I have found are:

$250 for springs, Eibach or suspension tech

$250 for tokico adjustable shocks

$500 + shipping, duty & vat

I don't know much about the KYB AGX shocks???

Tony - are these new or used? (btw - I have no wheels to offer)

The Ground Control spring/sleeve kit is around 290-300 pounds, plus shipping.

I know longer carry the TEIN lineup since the TEIN distributor in the US went bankrupt, so they are no longer distributed at this time.

Jez, the Tokico Illumina don't sell for $250 USD/set. That's the price for the non-adjustable; the adjustable go for $440/set (give or take a few dollars depending on the vendor).

The AGX are better and less expensive. I've had several warranty claims on the Tokicos because of leaking fluid. Since the AGX came out, I have not sold *one* Tokico shock since smile.gif

ARSE...

"Oh Rodney you plonker"... Made a cock up. My price was for one front and one rear shock (price from www.sgpracing.com) ... not a set of two!!!

Also, Mr rice, talking about leaks I know someone that just had a tokico leak... you're on to something there... Maybe we could do a deal here.

Do the AGX only come as adjustable, wondered what the non-adjustable setting and price was?

How much drop?

How much warrenty?

Does the rear camber go out much with the new springs - basically is it still in spec?

CC on standby

What are the contact details if we go ahead with this deal...

silly question got rice but id the ground controll any good?

------------------

rt_btn468a.gif

KYB has two types of shocks:

GR2 - non adjustable, stock replacement, not performance-valved (recommended for non turbo only)

AGX - 4 way adj. in the front, 8 way adj. in the rear, powdercoated red, performance-valved.

The shocks do not drop the vehicle. The lowering springs lower it.

The shock is warrantied for any manufacturer defect in workmanship or material. If it starts leaking, it can be sent back for replacement but shipping costs are paid by the customer (for international orders, this can be costly). I haven't had any warranty claims on the AGX.

With the Eibach drop, the rear camber should not be an issue since the rear camber arms *should* have enough travel to get the camber within stock specifications.

If you don't plan on racing your vehicle, there's no *real* need for the coilover. Most people get it just for the look since it allows you to lower the car more than the Eibach or Intrax springs. The coilovers are capable of dropping it around 2.5 to 2.7 inches.

For racers, it allows the car to be corner balanced. I'm running SPAX adj. coilovers on my autocross car - the rear is about 1" lower than the front so that the rear end stays planted during hard transitions. This setup is for slight oversteer coming out of the turn at wide open throttle (I hate understeer). Everyone has a different driving style so some people might have the front end lower to suit their driving style.

How much will the car be lowered?

i have the exact kit that Phuong sells, as i bought it from him wink.gif

it is eibach pro kit springs, 0.8" drop

and KYB AGX adjustable shocks.

i also have the 300 degree front camber kit which will hopefully be fitted tomorrow.

when i had the springs and shocks fitted, i went for a 4 wheel laser align.

every wheel camber setting was on the outer limit, either very slightly over, or very slightly under.

i had 4 new tyres a couple of weeks afterwards.

backs wore very evenly, no problems with them at all.

fronts have done 16,000 miles, and i have inside edge wear (that i noticed over the last 3,000). not sure if camber or tracking problem though, as there are loads of potholes around london at the moment frown.gif

however, the front negative camber is very noticeable when looking at the car...

i have no comlaints at all with the components, or with the service wink.gif

i do have complaints with the people that put the speed ramps everywhere...

and some multi storey car parks are no go areas

that is the only downside i have found with lowering the car

Phuong, do you do any suspension kits where the ride height can be adjusted from inside the car (like on Lambo Diablos??). My Z is my daily driver and I need the car to get over speed bumps and around some nasty multui-storey car parks.

I'll design a kit for you for only 7000 pounds.

.8" with the Eibachs. If you have some miles on the current spring/shocks, the drop won't be that much since the car is probably sagging .1 to .3"

Er, I think I'll go get a Diablo then, LOL.

I need two rear dampers as my tokico illumina are leaking after less than 20k miles.

KYB sound a good option so I'll join any GB that's going.

Phuong.. I also need the EGR bypass kit and camber adjustment kit.

Steve

Springs...

I have decided not to lower the car, but I'm trying to decide what to do about springs. Maybe the original ones (95000miles) don't really wear, not like those saggy old shocks.

I'll still be up for the KYB shocks.

What is the purpose of the EGR replacement kit apart from removing loads of hoses blocking entry to the rear of the engine area?

Reading http://www.ttzd.com/tech/egrtech.html

it also help cool the cylinders which is important.

------------------

Jez,

AFAIK - the only reason to cool the cylinders with inert gas is to reduce NOx emmissions, not to improve combustion or safeguard the engine or anything like that..

Introducing intert gas into the combustion chamber reduces power, for a start.. Which is bad..

I believe the EGR seals are also prone to leaking boost pressure - which I would guess could be a problem at higher boosts..

Not to mention there's less to leak/fall off/blow up without it smile.gif

Just my 2p.. Probably wrong smile.gif

There's your answer Jez..... I'm removing mine and filing it under 'R' smile.gif

A cleaner combustion process will be achieved, creating more power smile.gif

One more less thing to be a problem smile.gif smile.gif

Steve

I dont like the idea of EGR but didnt someone once say it was to keep cylinder head temperature down or something and the engine could run too hot without it.

Paul

Paul - Yes, the cylinder temperature will be higher without the EGR system. However, so long as everything else is within spec (a/f ratio, compression ratio etc) then you won't run hot enough to detonate..

However you *will* produce higher NOx emissions.. Should still be way low enough to pass the UK's (fairly lax) emissions regs though..
