I have a 1990 non-turbo manual fairlady.

 

When I start my car (from cold) no probs. Leaving her idling, after about 10 mins the revs and oil pressure will begin to drop.

If I hit the accelerator, the revs drop down before going up. Sometimes stalls... once stalled it will not start again unless left for about 20 minutes, the starter motor just ticks over with absolutely no life :-\

 

Anyone know what I've broke? :D

Sounds like it could be the PTU, that causes the engine to cut out when warm and not restart until cooled down.

Just to clarify, after about 10 or 15 mins of cooling, I go to start it and it does struggle to start, like starting an old escort on a cold day :D

 

Still think it could be the PTU? If so I'm ordering one tonight :]

Also... what about the oil pressure? Would that be affected by the PTU?
