Just put 20GR's on the rear, it's difficult to see on the pic below, but do my handbrake shoes look low? Not sure how meaty they should be, but I reckon they are only 2mm at the mo.

Also, when removing the discs, is there a way of making the ping/spring which holds the handbrake shoes in line(which was fused to the old disc) not pull though the metal that it's attached through, just for future ref.

Here they are on anyway:

They are looking a little thin, but nothing urgent for now.

Put it on the agenda though.

Kirbz,

Yep, they may only be standard size, but they do look great and perform extremely well (and are cheaper than standard discs!!).

I put them on them front with Mintex 1144's and the difference was immense. I can stop now.

That's my only Mod! So your discs are black diamond? I thought about them a while back, but 20GR's get a lot of recommendations on this forum.

Less handbrake turns mate!

Hi Matt

You only need standard size for the rears as i think only 20% of the braking is done from the rear anyway.

Now all you need is some nice 330mm discs up front for some serious braking :D

hmmmm, if i/you/anyone, could persuade my wife that:

big brakes/induction/18inch wheels/high rise rear spoiler/99 spec front end/scorpion exhaust/remote start/major ice install/samco pipes...etc

are preferable to

holidays/soft furnishings/savings/garden funiture/food...etc

then I'm stuck standard!

Ah well. Standard is still a Zed!

AAhhhh i can see you are new to this

I shall show you the way.....everything costs £50...simple :D

18 Inch wheels £50

New turbos £50

Boost Controller £50

Easy ;)
