Hi,

as some of you already know I am awaiting delivery of my first Zed from Japan.

I just have a question for all you 2+2 owners out there.

Are the back seats really any use for a couple of passengers or am I restricted to giving lifts to people the size of Hobits!

I am only 5ft9 myself so would not need the driver seat pushed too far back so should give em a bit more room in the back.

Cheers,

Justin.

Hi mate, I can put a whole three tesco bags of shopping in the back seats of my Z. It's great :D :bow:

Sounds like the voice of experience!

I guess it must be a bit more roomy than the MR2 I have at the moment, althought that also has targa tops;)

Its cramped for adults but that isnt a problem cos you dont have to sit there :D

Paul

fits my two collies nicely - they still get confused about there only being two doors though - jerry seems to prefer the driver's seat.

do you think this is dominance issue:rofl:

Hi Alex, think that may be one for a dog therapist, although can you blame it for wanting to get behind the wheel of a Zed!

Thats why it's got targa tops :D

Depends upon whether or not you've got leather seats for ease of wiping :)

Whoops hit the wrong quote button, but I'm sure you get the idea

yeh - dont balme them really.

oh i'm such a bad owner - i find it funny that when i accelerate they can lie down vertically up the back seat :D

~~~> sort of a k9 g-force test
Is the the wipeable seats issue related to the dog in seat thing or the shagging in Zed thing? LOL. I guess it could be both!
Anyway, how did we get onto this? I only asked if there was room for anyone to sit (thats SIT) in the back!
I'm 6'2" and I've travelled in the back of my mates Zed on a 300 mile round trip. The passenger had to have their seat forward a bit but it was fine... The only slight discomfort was the sun coming through the rear screen and making me feel a little too hot.. This was only a minor irritation though...
The key is the leg position. Most passengers try to keep their legs together and put them to one side of the driver/pass seat. The only way to do it is legs akimbo - one either side. At least that's what I tell all of my female passengers :D :D
My 6ft 8" boss sat in the back once when we went to the pub for lunch. Strangley he had to visit the osteopath the following week.
But seriously, except for kids in junior school, they are only fit for very short trips to the pub
my mates tend to tell me its feels very claustrophobic in the back, and cant wait to get out, i think its the lack of ventilation and the tiny little windows that does it. but ive carried 3 6 foot odd mates in the back on the pub trip, it kinda gets one of those funny stares when 5 huge blokes get out this tiny interiored car.:rofl:
If you think the back of a Zed`s bad try travelling from London to Nottingham in the "backseat" (correction, "shelf") of an Audi TT. After 2 hours of sleep. On a sofa. With a hangover. And all because you`re mates girlfriend decides to tag along at the last minute. Me...bitter? Nah...:mad: :rolleyes: :D
i didnt realise it was possible to get into the back 'shelf' of a TT
I've had seven in the back of mine & I have the seat back 'cause I'm six foot eight
Oh yes...
...it is.
And I've got the therapists bill to prove it.
Trust me on this one.
:rolleyes: :p
tiny seats is good at least you dont get used as a taxi by your mates. just to be sure i got the swb:D :dance: :dance: :dance:
I can get 2 of my 6'+ stepsons in the back. Not great for long distances, but better than alot of coupes.
geoff.
