Changed front brake pads last week great! Old ones naff!

I still have got wheel judder on braking!! Naff Naff!

Going to change bushes with poly ones and should I do front discs as well?

Think I get poly bushes from Z centre? & discs from Berks?

My discs look okay.

Featured Replies

Yep, poly from Zcentre; fit those first (better still, get someone

else to do that).

You might find the judder gone.

Did you air-drive or torque the wheel nuts?

What is recommended for pads...? Mine are squealing.. eeeeeekk!

Can you also recommend dealers and tell me whether its an easy enough job?

Cheers

Ben

Cheers Vijay....

Any recommendations on pads....?

NePerformace are selling some high quality ones, any one think they're any good..?

Cheers

Ben

If any use to you have poly bushes, kevlar brakes and turbo groove disc on the shelf and also located in Staffordshire.

Hi Simmo

Thanx for info will change bushes first. Always torque wheel nuts!

Ben on the brakes side I ordered mine from Strano Parts but you can get them from B19rks or Z centre I think. I would speak to them first

My pads for your info: AXXIS PBR metal master, semi-metalic.

Front only $55 + $38 shipping took 10 days!

I also had to order one set of shims from nissan £20. Think you can do better with help from this forum though. Job EASY if I can anyone can. You saw Vjays reply thats what I used!:)

Oh forgot!

Do I change ALL the bushes, or just the tension/compression arm bush.

Cannot contact Luke at Z centre!

Is it not a diy thing changing bushes?

I think you might find that most bushes need to be pressed in...

This may be why it's recommended that yo get someone else to do it...

Cheers

Ben

if you have a large vice, you can press them in yourselves.

Vijay

not sure to be honest. I suppose a large enough G clamp could work..........................................

Vijay

Doubt it.

You could compromise and take the bits to a

workshop to have bushes pressed in.

Steering rack bushes tricky. You would be very bold

to attempt these yourself unless you have access

to a pit or lift.

You wouldn't get under a car on a jack, would you??

Ok then!

Think I wll get them fitted by garage first to see if that doe's the job.

Will e mail Luke at Z centre cos Im damded can get him on the fone!

Contacted Luke from Z centre.

Poly bushes on way & arrive tomorrow. What service!

Contacted local enginers who are going to press old bushes out & put new ones in. They have a Fly press that does the job.

Replace arms on Saturday! Thats the plan.

Hi all!

Changed front Poly bushes!

This has almost cured my judder 90% of it.

I am going to change the nearside disc to see if I can clear everything.

Question is do I need to get the tracking done having change the front bushes?
