I think you need an after market boost guage to set it up properly, or at lest borrow on, as from what im told different tips give different boost in different cars, so be careful, if you just bung some in you can end up with far too much boost and break it.

John Dixon may well post on here and let you whats what.

thanks, mate. already got an aftermarket boost guage (Greddy). It reads 0.4 bar on safety, 0.65 bar on normal, and sometimes if it is cold and running on octane booster goes a little over 0.7 bar. I think this is normal, but feels like the car could take much more (im thinking around 0.9 - 1.0 bar) does that sound reasonable?

here you are

thanx, lads. im off to work now, but i'll have a good read later and have a go in the morn. any good brake conversions for little money or anyone know where you can get disks/pads? cheers. si.

On my car and Pete's, 1.0mm jets gave 12psi, but some people have had different results.

Be careful about running too much boost without changing the chip to suit.

I'm in Kidderminster so if you need a hand, drop me a line.

Can sort you out with a chip too if you're interested.

Cheers

I get 15psi which then settles to 13psi with the 1mm tips.

Only got detonation once, and that was becasuse I floored it in 5th at 2000rpm going up a hill. It struggled a little. :S

ok, i've been under the bonnet and had a look and i think i have sussed it. they go in the 2 little pipes under the final inlet pipes.... EASY!!!!!! :D :D :D

just one more prob. i went to work in it to avoid boredom on the way and..... the brakes started grinding:mad:

anyone know where i can get some upgraded disks/pads? rung nissan and after they stopped laughing got a quote of £75 front pads and £168 each front disks. seemed good enough, but then i remembered how many people change the brakes on these cars and mine were always prone to fade, so im after an inexpensive upgrade. any ideas? thanx. si.
