Members,

There has been a lot of talk of late about what should and should not be done with the Club/Forum!

So here is your chance to make a difference, we need volunteers to make your forum what you want it to be!

So tell us:

What you want to do?

What skills you have to contribute?

How much would this cost?

How many man hours would it take?

What the effects would be for the club, negative and positive?

We will then have a look at project and what you have to offer?

Here's your chance to make a difference, your forum needs you!

I am happy to redesign a logo for the club and to redesign the site.

The club IMHO needs to create a on-line community. The forum is great and very useful but I think it should be a part of the site .. not the main focus of the site.

There are other important areas that could be developed.

Chatroom ... 300zx own chatroom

Private members area

Technical section

Newsletter section

On-line newsletters (via email)

Rides section

Competitions ... (Traders could maybe put up prizes)

Subscribe online area

Payment For tickets

Regular homepage updates (weekly)

News items

Basically whatever people want the site to be ...

Anyways ... The cost for my services would be nominal (maybe no annual subscription ever) considering a daily rate of £lots I don't think that is too bad a deal.

Timewise ... could be 100hrs + cannot say at this point.

That's about it .... but judging from the input from members I think that a lot of people would like to see some changes.

Up 2 you guys ....

I've discussed this with AndrewG and agreed to prepare the club accounts in a statutory format with an independent statement of assurance. Yearly/quarter/monthly is fine.

I work in the audit dept of a Chartered Accountancy/Registered Auditors - who won't incidentally supply the statement, the proprietor of management consultancy business (website http://www.nliconsultants.co.uk) will review my work and provide it.

No cost for the work, I agreed with nliconsultants that he could benefit from the advertising in return for the work, and my time is free anyway ;) Posateg costs maybe depending on if accounts are circulated.

A few hours work each time, its what I do.

Provides members of the club with details on how their money is spent, with independent verification, and advice if necessary.

Cheers

Pete

I'm still offering a free server!

I've got a spare brand new DDS4 Tapedrive for backups your welcome to, free gratis.

Apart from that, I'm an IT bod (one of many) and I'm willing to help out in any way I can.

Mike

Fantasic guys, the more people we have with good ideas and the skills and willing to put them into action, the better!

Roy thanks for the offer, let me find out about the server, even if we have one fully working it might be prudent to have one spare, for when the great IT god calls time or our one!

Peter superb mate,I think your skills will be needed sooner rather than later at the moment!

Herman and Matty cheers lads, Herman being an IT novice I will check if we need one of those items or if you want to drop Mike

Groves a line as he knows what we need!

Web Monkey sounds like a superb oppurtunity, we will have to consult with The IT guys, the commitee and the members as to what is feasible and what people want. Why don't you contact AndyP and Mike Groves and have a preliminary chat with them!

Mark,

I am happy to help author some stuff for the site if it's needed ... I have already offered to do some 300 stuff for "fuelinjection" for his Nissan site, but as Tim mentioned, anything for there should also be on here.

Would need to talk to someone about how the site's gonna look though - assuming you're going to go through some sort of design phase, I'd like to get involved then.

I know we've talked about FAQ's before - so perhaps that's something to start with - clearly, I'd need someone a little more technical to collaborate with though ;).

JB. :D

Cheers John,

You tech guys will have to have a meeting to chew through what can and cannot be done with the site!

If you want I will give you help with the tech articles, I think I have read most of them during my TT conversion!!!!

Andy Duff is someone who has been talked about before and AndrewG knows a lot about what to do with the car!

NP Mark .. but don't get me wrong, I'm talking about writing English prose here (i.e. stuff for people to read) not computer code - oooh no!

Am happy to have a crack at something for Banzai, but would need clear direction from the committee first .. :D

CheerZ,
