hi,

My friend has just fitted my Blitz SBC ID and power meter.:D

but it is not working properly

Please help

The following are what we need if posible:

1. The power meter displays "calibration error" when you try to calibrate it, my friend is not sure he has connected it to the right cable from the ecu. does anyone know which cable/colour we shuld connect it to at the ecu??

2.He has took the pipes off the stock boost solenoids but nothing else. does he need to disconnect the wiring from these and if so where do you do this?

3.Do the pipes from each turbo need to be the same length. will it make a difference if one side is longer before it reaches the t piece that the pipe comes off to go to the blitz solenoid.

4. finally:dance:

does anyone have any susggestions for what settings to try (for example what gain should i set)?

sorry this is so long but you can all :slap: me if i ever meet anyone from here.

thanks,

1. Calibration Error - I installed my power meter and got this problem but I never fixed it before the car went off the road. I think the wire needs to be connected at the back of the speedo instead of near the ECU but I might be wrong.

2. You don't need to take the pipes off, just unplug the wiring connector to each solenoid which is at the side of the engine.

I presume you got a diagram from somewhere on how to "T" the controller solenoid into the system correctly?

3. In theory the pipes should be as close to the same length as possible but this isn't really possible. Just join them as short at each side as you can get them.

4. The controller needs to be set to manual mode as auto learn doesn't work on twin turbos. Then set the gain about 10 and the boost value about 25 and increase it from there to see how high you are boosting. Every car is slightly different but I had mine up to about 50 as it's maximum setting I think.

My car has been off the road ages so I doubt my settings are still stored but these are about right I think.

Chris.

You are in luck!!

Ive just had my power id fitted and have been playing with the settings for a while!!

You do connect the orange wire to the ecu speed sensor, its number 53 on the ecu and its a green and yellow cable, once you do this you have to input you car weight, i got mine weighed and it was 1800 kg (ive got a bit of ICE so allow for this)

The power loss is a funny one, i was told to set it to -15 but i spoke to racelogic and they say that you leave it at 0 as the power id takes into concideration your weight etc and the power loss adjustment is only to tweek it!! so id leave it at 0.

Then select the speed calibration get a mate to hover over the enter button and drive at 25mph onece you are there hit the enter key and you done it.

To double check youve calibrated it right select the speed setting and test it by going 20 30 40 and see if thee readout is right, you might have to re do it as i did until your readout matches your speedo.

Once you are happy give her a blast and find out what she's got :D

If you have any problems please ask and i will try to answer, i'm not technical but am learing fast:dance:

Cheers

thanks so far guys

i got the speed power id working but still have problems with the boost. I believe I have disconnected the stock solenoids and have even piped these out aswell so i am running exactly as it says in the instructions. i seem to only ever boost to just over 9psi even if i set the boost controller to 100%.

any idea's????

I have now developed a miss fire aswell. could this be caused if i disconnect the incorrect cable??

Are you definately using the manual mode and not auto?

I think when I fitted mine I was getting something similar.

They default to auto mode and you input the boost in psi.

You need to set it to manual with gain and ratio values for a twin turbo. Does sound like you have it right of you are reaching 100%.

Make sure you turn it down to about 30 before trying it if you do find another fault!

Other than that I'd check you've plumbed it in right like this:

I am definitely trying it in manual not auto and have plumbed in as per instructions . I have have a pipe from each actuator looped with a t piece off going to the out connection on the blitz controller and another pipe from the air intakes near the radiator looped with a t piece off to the in on the blitz solenoid. i have disconnected the wires for the stock solenoids and all the pipes. do the pipes from the stock solenoids need to be capped off or do can they be left without capping them??????

I don't get which pipes you need to cap as they are all joined up when you connect it as above... ?!?!

I think you've taken too many pipes off

there are pipes coming off the stock boost solenoids that now go to nothing as i have bypassed them with new pipe. i do not know if i need to block the pipes coming off the stock solenoids (i can't see that this would make a difference though as the stock solenoids are no longer wired up).

Hi... I juz removed my Blitz Power Meter i-D... anyone interested PM me.... :p
