I didn't even get half way through it. IT's basically just a VERY long drawn out way of telling us what we all know already....it won't bring about change... only naming and shaming those officials who put all this into operation will suffice. They can't possibly hold us against trump charges if they were caught out by the same regulations themselves.

I read the whole bloody lot - I'm depressed, our lives are futile and over. Where in the world can we go that has a) decent climate, b) sensible laws, c) decent standard of living ?

All the people I know (and I guess I half include you in that) have moved away and don't seem to have much intention of going back. One of my closest friends lived there for 7 years, my father in law was born there and a guy who works for me has family still (just) there.

 

I feel the only options are NZ,Canada or ?

I know where you're coming from, this country sucks big time, over taxed completely(maybe now people might understand why our government(s) past and present don't want to go into the EU)...at the end of the day that's what it all equates to. IR-35 for small companies is a classic example, and it's not just affecting IT people in contract employment, I know a few people in other areas such as A/C installers that have been affected.

 

What can you do though? Nothing, in France they'll strike, bring the country to its knees and not give in! What do we spineless Brits do...get halfway, make enough hot-air to guarantee Branson safe passage around the world in his balloon and then pack it all in coz we need to get to work! Sad to be a Brit in this century, god knows what our kids are gonna inherit...dread to think!!!

 

I decided to put Super Unleaded in me Capt. Kirk this afternoon coz of the "nuts & bolts in the baked bean can" noise to see if it would make it go away(did slightly) but f**k me!!! Paid 84.9pence per litre for the privelege...WTF???

 

Australia, Canada or SA are probably the only places left on this godforsaken ball in space where you can live a reasonable life.

 

It ain't gonna get any better...so it looks like we're stuck with it...ARSE!
