Had a look, and the most promising post about trolley jack points seemed a bit vague. Is there a 'Proper' place to jack it up using a trolley? My car has an indentation where a jack has been used. Where can I jack it up safely, without causing any damage?

Also, there's a bit where the underseal has been kind of scraped off. Should I get more underseal and just fix that part?

There's diagrams in the Service Manual - I'd tell you the page number but sadly my printout of the very page doesn't have a page number on it!

I'll look on 300zx.org.uk. The manual's there too isn't it? I just havn't needed to look closely at it till now. Thanks

Ah! Thanks. I was trawling through the pages...

So with a trolley I need to get it at the garage jsck points in the middle??

What work are you trying to do?

If you need the whole car up then yes jack at those garage jack points and then put axel stands on the safety stand points.

Has to be said i wouldnt do much work under a Z balance on a single jack under the garage jack points.

Just found that page!

I am going to change the clutch slave cylinder. with a willing mentor- have been told it is not a time-consuming job, but I will jack it up and put it on axle stands.

Thanks for the links. That last one is good, with photos for the thick. excellent.

Cannot be stated too strongly, never, never go under

any car on jack!

Always, always use axle stands or ramps.

And its SO important, I'd like to back that up too! I have experience of people (close family friends) who didn't obey these rules. His family still miss him very much.
