...........At the back of the engine on the drivers side, right in the corner..........

 

I have an odd 'clicking noise' coming from there, which effects the idle........

 

I did notice the noise was there when I pressed the accelerator very slightly and when I let go......

 

....when started up from cold the clicking is intermitent and causes the Z to idle from 1500 then goes down to 1000 as it warms up then it starts to click and causes the idle to go upto 2000rpm until I drive for a bout 2 minutes then it stops, it's driving me mad.......

 

As I said it's coming from the grey box as mentioned OR one of the connectors there........

 

HELP!!

 

Anyone got any idea's???

I now know what it is and from that I am guessing it's upsetting my idle (maybe sticking??) is there anything I can do to fix it or do I need a new one??

People tend to get rid of them than replace them.

 

Dont the AVI make the car over fuel to heat up the cats? If you decat you dont really need them.
