I got an Oil change today, the car, felt a bit odd, but I didn't really notice till about 4 hrs later. The turbos were working early this morning, (went to the bank to cash a check, -I haven't driven my car in about 3 or 4 weeks. The first thing I said to myself is that I love the way the turbos sound. Unless I was just hearing things.-) - hits that I believe that there were working properly b4 I got the oil change.

According to the ECU test. I'm getting a code 34 (Detonation Sensor), what I'm wondering is, even in safty boost, I should still get some boost right? Well I get 0- per gauge. Plus I don't feel/hear them anymore, feels kinda weird. But if any of you guys know what I should to figure out what's wrong/fixing it, a little advice would help. (I don't know where the Detonation sensor is)

thx

Need a few more details..

Does the gauge still work, or is it at 0 all the time ?

how many miles do you have on your car ?

Heard any whines/whistles/rattles before ? (when the turbo's were still working)

Were there any signs of turbo-seal failure before this problem? (blueish smoke during idle)

I can't really see any relation between the oil-change and the failure of the turbo(s)...unless you boosted a lot right before you had the oil change..(so the turbos were extremely hot during the oil-change)

I think it's just an unfortunate coincidence..

What you could try is get the engine fully warmed up (by letting it idle for around 10 minutes) and then go out for a drive and downshift a few times. (into high rpms)

If you're lucky you might be able to break loose the turbo that is stuck.

The gauge works (vacum), just doesn't go past -0-. I only hear normal turbo sounds. No blue smoke, no smoke at all.

sounds liek you have a major air leak, have you checked your intake pipes and in general just listen for an air leak

I get a hisss sound when I start the car.

I suspect it wont be turbos just dead, cause firstly the chances of both dying at exactly the same time is probably nil, and i have never seen a turbo fail completly where i come from

I live in Arizona the temp is about 107 F daily, Do you think that wouldn't help them?
