Torque without the tool?.

I am replacing my sparks and I know how much torque should be applied, all though I do not have a torque wrench. Is it safe/possible to do this without one?..

    I'd never use a torque wrench for that. Something like finger tight then 1/4 to 1/2 a turn depending on how tight they feel. All you have to do is squish down the crush washers to make a decent seal.
