Because of the EGR (exhaust gas restriction) imposed by turbos, does this make a lot of difference to exhaust notes on TTs vs. NAs ?

ne opinions ? observations ? The NA should sound more 'open' ? and the TT louder but more 'muffled' ? Is this right ?

R = recirculation, no?

No, not in this case. The exhaust drives a turbine which rotates a fan/compressor which forces more fresh air into cylinders. The exhaust is simply used as a kinetic force and hence the flow of exhaust gases is restricted. However, the benefit of more air in cylinders outweighs the disadvantages of EGResriction, giving more power and more efficient combustion.

Personally I love the note of my mongoose exhaust, it isn't to loud but still turns heads when driving through town.

Turbos are generally quieter though, but that may just be due to the tips i've seen, maybe stu would like to put cerinas exhaust on his car for a video ;)

I think you confused people with the EGR Valve which recirculates.

are you saying its beyond your mechanical skills? :)

I think a lot of noise is due to the tip you choose, you can get the fart can effect if you use a very thin metal for the tip.

Changing the Fuel filter is beyond my mechanical skills mate.

You should know that !!!.

Anyway if you are going to start talking about metal tips and the farting effect they have, I'm outta here !!!! :D
