Stopped off tonight on the way back from work. Funny, the clutch is sticking a bit. Came back to the car five minutes later, started it up and heard a weird fizzing coming from the passengers side. Pushed down the clutch and tried to go, taking my foot off it stuck half way (the clutch, not my foot).

Stalled, obviously. Tried again and the clutch just went in and stuck- felt all loose on the way in then stuck in. I pinged it back out with my hand but every time I put my foot on it it just went in and stayed there. All accompanied by the strange fizzing sound from the left.

Any ideas? please. The car is stuck there now and won't move. Luckily I was within walking distance and am just about to go down and tow it back.

Any ideas? please!

no expert but what's you're clutch fluid level like and is there a puddle under your car?

The AA man told me it was the Clutch Slave Cylinder. Showed me the leaking fluid. So...I need a new part- where should I get one from? He said it was dead simple to replace- take off a bolt and a washer and remove the joint.

If I take the part number into somewhere like a Nissan dealer can they get it? or can anywhere get it? The very very nice man from the AA said maybe it might be a part common to a load of Nissans. Is that right?

MJP in the traders section for a new one, Andy Z fro a second hand one :D

Cheers,

I will give MJP a call tomorrow.

Don't want it to be off the road for too long! I will even try putting it on myself (with the help of the ever-helpful nexty neighbour). The AA guy said it was about the easiest job there could be to do on it.

Hope he was right...

Rich I have a standard one on my car at the moment which I will be changing for a modded one at the weekend. You're more than welcome to it if you want to come and get it.
