Andy Duff has a plenum for me but we have a slight problem on how to get it down!

 

If there is anyone going up to the land of warm beer, and travelling to the land of cold shandy (london), can you do me a favour and drag the plenum down for us!

Why not send it by normal Parcel post. You can send up to a 30kg parcel for a tenner.

im going to uni next sunday and i'll be coming back probably the weekend after to pick up my car from the garage, dont know if this will be any good.

 

the uni is in nottingham, which isnt that close to andy i dont think although the garage is in london (kingston)

P.S. can you let me know whether the hose kit you have is for a 90-93 zx as if it isnt i couldnt have it anyway, and so i'll be able to order a hose kit before monday.

Cheers guys, Andy lives near preston I believe so I think Nottingham might be a bit out of the way!

 

Didn't know you kept your car in Kingston eddy, I only live up the road in Putney we will have to meet up!

yeah preston is probably too far, although the offer still stands if you cant find another way and you can get the plenum to nottingham.

 

sorry mate i meant repair garage, one of my turbos has blown and Geoff off this site recomended S & M (Motors that is) as a good place to go. i'll give you a shout when im picking up my car though if your nearby:D

 

sorry to keep bugging you mate but could you let me know what year car your kit is for. its just that i need to get the order made ASAP so that i get the stuff before i leave for uni, otherwise it'll be hard to get the stuff to the garage. if you let me know i can make the order with or without the hose kit depending on whether yours will fit my car.

I'll be going up to Preston in a few weeks. Girlfirend lives near Leyland which is only a couple of miles from there. Alternatively, maybe the Duffer could drop it at her place and she could bring it down to mine. See her most weekends so it won't take that long to get down here.

Hi steady, I think ChrisC has sorted the money out so it looks like it is heading in his direction, but it was the earlier model anyway!

BTW S&M motors are meant to be good a mate of mine works there and he is constantly servicing ferraris lambos, and all the low class motors:eek:

about the garage, have you had work done by 'darren' (i think) in chatham or somewhere near there. i would prefer a garage nearer to me as towing the car to kingston would probably cost about £300, and ive heard you've had work done by him and its been pretty good.

 

also what are those braided clutch lines like, if they're only a tenner i might aswell get one if they have a good effect

I think Darren might be busy for a while at the mo, as his parents are unwell.

 

I have not tried the braided clutch lines yet, but they are meant to improve the sensitivity of clutch uptake, which apparently helps with upgraded clutches! But for a tenner, it has to be about the cheapest mod you can do to a Zed, LOL!

I sent a box about the size of a suitcase 2 or three 3 years through the post office - they just laughed, and said it would cost £7.50 to send it to Yorkshire.

 

(Only weighed about 15Kg though)

I was keeping an eye out for a rusty white Zed when I was there recently, but you must've been in hiding that weekend. I'll be back in about 2 weeks, so might just pop round for a coffee and to collect the plenum - that is unless young Mr Topless has suddenly got in a great rush and had it sent by the infamous Royal Mail Partial Service ! ;)
