...change the TPS without buggering up my Zed?

Will I need a Voltmeter afterwards?

Or does merely asking this question mean I am too clueless to give it a crack in the first place?

Before you know it you'll find you have to do a manual conversion and engine swap like I did! LOL

It's amazing what you can learn when the s**t hits the fan!

Hi Steve, Danny here - we met a couple of times at Jeff's ...

If you are coming to the Z meet at The Boat Inn, Solihull, this Sunday I could hook up my ConZult for you while we change the TPS - will give you an accurate reading of what voltage it is being set too and way easier than sticking in a volt meter. Let me know if I can help. Alternatively we could meet up at some other time.

Danny

Thanks Danny!

Can`t do this Sunday as Nissan said there are none in the UK and have to order from Japan (YAWN!) Bottom line is that they said it would be a week.

I`ll mail you when it shows up if that`s okay....as I said, any and all help appreciated. I`m still planning to buy a conzult from you anyways.

Thanks again

Steve

No problem Steve - let me know when you are ready. By the way have you tried contacting my local(-ish) Nissan dealer, Polesworth Nissan, who has generally been very good at supplying parts. I recently got my new TPS from them without having to wait weeks! Tel: 01827 895-125 ask for Alan in Parts. You may be given a new number as the parts department has just moved.

To their credit.....

They did say a week at least but lo and behold if I didn`t get a call at the office earlier to tell me it was in.....woo hoo!

So I bought a multimeter and naow have both sitting in me garage while I work out if I have the bottle to try it myself. My Zed is pissed.....don`t think it likes me very much right now:(
