Superb, my car is pretty much sorted, Pete's been waiting for me to give him the nod and hopefully will be getting her back end of August, middle of September at the latest!!!

So, save a place for me at Blackpool guyZ and GirlZ, if all goes well I will be there!

man thats no good have you seen how many of those f1 cars went to pot over the last weekend, lol so know youll hve an engine good for 500 miles before a rebuild lol

As ever Warren looks on the bright side ! Rather depends upon which team you're talking about through.

Looks like we could be fitting that TC earlier than I expected though ...

CheerZ mate, knew you'd come through for Mr. F**kwit here...LOL!

I'd rather pay you a few beers than have to pay Race Logic £100 plus spons to fit it...coz I is not very good with that sort of thing.

oh man as long as your tractrion controll does not have Jordan written on it lol, then its cool, so will you be ready for trax then ?

Hmmmm, might be! Not sure I wanna cain the crap outta me newly built engine though! Especially seeing as the track is where you're more likely to cause engine damage. Just remember while you're chucking your Z beast around all those bends at Le Big Mac 3, one side of your poor engine is more than likely experiencing a nice healthy dose of Oil starvation...I'd be inclined to top-up before you go round...be warned!

i am a bit nervous to go around to be honest, ill be using just .6 bar boost and try keep the speed up so no hard accelerating, just noce and smooth, use higher gears, cause what i found at the nurburgring was that i tended to be in to lower gear all the time,

Gonna keep this one high! Have phoned SE every day for the past 3 days(not today coz they ain't open) and spoke to Paul trying to get a final bill cost!

Still waitin'???????? Yes I am!

Come on Pete, don't let me down mate!

Ok place your bets, i recon that you wont get a price by next monday, even if you phone them everyday till saturday. lol

odds, 10/1

Good to hear Timmy Boy! biggrin.gif

Timmy, just being curious here and maybe a bit forgetfull, but just how long have SE been entrusted with your beloved Zed so far and what was the reason for putting it in there in the first place, just for comparison reasons, RC Developments cost an engine removal/refit and full rebuild and test for 40 hours labour, be interesting to see how many hours SE charge ya for in total.

Cheers, Smithy

p.s Fancy a pukka set of stainless steel boost pipes to go with that nice new clean engine ??

...tempted mate, but I need to stop buying big time! My spare room is chocca with bits and pieces waiting for fitting...LOL!

Not gonna put prices up on here, cost of the build shouldn't be too bad as Pete said that the engine wasn't as bad as Arriva made out. Plus it had been rebuilt recently, just not very well!

SE have had the car since about April I think, it was with Arriva in Peterborough from Crimbo 'till then. I know of someone else who has had his car back from SE recently and was very chuffed with how it was running...so fingers crossed. But I am still sceptical about whether or not the engine was solely responsible for the problems that I was experiencing. Wait and see I suppose! New wiring loom should make some kinda difference.

Tim

;-)

Summary of problems:-

Revs dropping and car stalling when selecting gear(Auto)

Chugging at tickover whilst in gear

Intermittent smoke in cabin and from under bonnet

Number 5 cylinder not firing properly, coil pack? Injector? Wiring harness? Not PTU as had that changed!

I had the revs dropping & stalling and on mine it was down to knackered wiring on the TPS.

CheerZ mate, we'll check that out when I get her back! If you don't mind that is...beg! LOL!

Tim

;-)

P.S. Still trying to get the final cost(s) outta SE...been ringing every day bar yesterday!

lol so you can pay up at the end of the week. if im right on tis one and i suspect i am, you can all get down on your knees and say "im not worthy" at trax

Or, in an ironic twist of unbridled, bloodlusted fate, Tim can cane your sorry South African ass up the 1/4 mile wink.gif
