I phoned my local Nissan Dealer 2 day to give them a chance to get some business off me......i need hand brake shoes for the back of my 300..........but FFS £118 plus VAT.....i was expecting maybee £40.....i am still in shock......but the sad thing is that they would sell them to me for £85 inc VAT with my trade discount.....what a bunch of robbing BAS*****......no wonder dealers get a bad name cause of over inflated prices.....

 

Anyway enough of the moaning...

When you can get a Conzult unit better than the one Nissan use for the price of 4 hours labour, what can you say?

 

Was quoted (ahem) £394 inc VAT for a new IAA unit. Got one from Andy Z for £40.

 

And when you stroll into a main dealer in search for a Titanium key to be told (in order)

 

i/ I need to get shot of "that old thing" and get a 350Z

ii/ Titanium keys were never issued for the 300ZX

The SOB even had the brass neck to ask me if my car was a Nissan after I wandered in and said I wanted a part for a Z32

 

 

 

NUFF SAID!!

And I thought £40 for a bit of rubber pipe was steep!!!

When I wanted a new electric radiator fan, it was over £200 JUST FOR THE MOTOR!!!! not the whole fan just the motor.

They're not all bad. My dealer did a complete Consult on the aircon, temperature check and whatnot and refused to charge.

 

But if you want parts, then go to MJP or anyone else on our Traders Forum or the US - Nissan GB parts prices are a joke.

How does £175+ vat for the digi clock,or even £700 for the rear diff oil cooler?:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:
