Got to get my crack seal changed, whats the time allowed to change this, any body had it done? what price am i looking at?.

 

Also my erial came out the socket the other day, can it be fixed on the drive or is it shot?, how much are new ones, will i need one?.

LOL!! im guessing you mean CRANK seal, rather than a seal for your crack!! (too much wind??:D )

 

front or rear?? rear is gearbox off to do & is prob the most common

To change the rear crank seal is virtually all the work of changing your clutch?

 

How old is your clutch? Do you have a manual?

My seal was leaking and I was going to get it changed but some one said hold out until you need a clutch. Lucky I did as 3 weeks after I was going to get the seal sorted my clutch started slipping and I did the seal with the clutch change. Saved me paying out on the same labour twice.

 

The seal itself is about £20 from Nissan and labour will be about £100-£150

Same work as changing a clutch and then some lol TBH your clutch probably failed due to oil contamination - caused by you not getting the rear main seal changed :p Good advice though, unless its a relatively new clutch, replace the friction disk while you're in there...
