I have set my Sub up no problem and it works fine. My question is, where can I thread the live feed that goes to the battery. It is quite a thick cable, about 7mm. I cant see any obvious holes going through the dash to the engine bay.

Hi again Kia,

Check out the Ice section on my site I think I've got the info on there http://www.300zx-mods.co.uk/ICE.htm.

If not, the best place I found was to bring it from the engine to just below the battery and out into the front passenger wing, from here you can grab it through the door opening and feed it into the door grommet (the side that goes into passenger side of the car), then it will come out above the ECU, where you can feed it down and under the side seal to the back of the car.

Hi Kia99,

There is a grommet in the firewall in the area next to the battery. Take the battery and the battery tray out of the car, look at the firewall towards the ground and you'll see a round rubber grommet with a little pipe coming out of it. This pipe is for the aircon condensation. On the inside of the car you'll have to remove the ECU and the box right above it and you'll be able to see the same grommet - it helps if you're a contorsionist as it means lying on your back with your backside uncomfortably resting on the door sill. I spent three days moaning of lower back pain after I pulled my power cable through ... In any case, you can take the grommets out (either side of the firewall) and pull your power cable through. Pushing the grommets back in will be a bit more difficult but not impossible.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Regards,

Danny
