I have a Jap import 91 TT. It only has 180 Kmh on the speedo!. Is this correct?, I think it only converts to about 110Mph.

 

Also is it a big job to fit another speedo and conversion components to read in Mph?

I only just got a Jap NA in June & have already done the conversion.

 

There are a few ways of doing this but I simply bought a conversion kit which wires into the back of the speedo and re-calibrates the speed information from KPH to MPH so instead of 180KPH it will be 180 MPH.

 

All you need to do is put a sticker over the KPH sign to show MPH.

 

This was the simplest (and I think cheapest) way to do it.

My TT is a cream white colour. Just bought it about 3 weeks ago. I have not seen any other 300ZX's in Maidstone, so I am pleased I have another Z lover close by :o)

I have some problems with the Z at the moment, heavy smell of fuel. But if I get that sorted I will be up there. Must say the prospect of seeing lots of Z's is really quite exciting.

It's probably nothing major. Maybe just loose fuel line clamps.
