took my 300 to nissan to get the heater matrix replaced, basically cause the few other places round my way said they didnt really want to do it. Alarm bells come when i had to order the matrix for them as they couldnt get a part number (swb import) but car comes back all nice and fixed eventually, went out the friday after and everything is fine till get back to the car that evening to find that i have only full beams at front, no rear or cockpit lights at all.

 

phone up the garage next day and have rant at them, basically figure that the car wasnt in a legal state when it left their workshop and they take it back few days ago, anyway, had a call from their engineer yesterday who said that the wiring round the front of the car was in a terrible state and something about the voltage on the fuses being different on each side, i knew the wiring round the front was not brilliant (through previous owners) but everything worked, the engineer also said that nothing they could have done while removing the dashboard would have caused the fault in the lights and that they hadnt checked the lights were working before it came to them, basically telling me that i have brought the car in like that!!!!!!!, oh and that i would have to take it to a specialist car electrician as they didnt have facilities to fix the problems!!

 

wtf, so after arguing with this guy that everything was working, i told him to get the service manager to call me, and am still waiting...

 

dont know much about car electrics, just know that everything was working before they took the dash out and now it isnt, dont know if they are just trying to get out of taking everything apart again or what, can anybody help shed some light on this or any advise

Sounds like you have blown a fuse , located in the kick panel by the brake pedal ect , quite a few people have had this blow, and you can only get full beam but no other lights.

something so simple!!!

As you look at the fuse panel try the third fuse from the left on the top row, that is the sidelights fuse.
