send it back, i think it's reasonable to expect slightly better performance from modern equipment! ;)

Don't panic!!!!!!!!!

Pour a cup of coffee into one of the holes at the top..

That'll stop the out of paper light flashing.

Ask your supplier to fax you some more.

Ok I've done that but have no response

is your fax machine out of paper too??

If so you could be in real trouble.

I would suggest as a temporary measure walking around the office untill you find a printer with some paper and stealing this the only long term down side to this is you may have a catestrophic systme failure due to lack of paper where the whole company grinds to a hault. Positive side by this time you should have stolen enough paper to keep yourself going till you go home

All the best

Glyn

Is there a new 'paper-eating' virus going around..

Better run your virus scanner

There's an old saying, prevention is better than cure... You need a piece of software called 'paper view' - this is available from Sky at a price of around £15 per night. It allows you to see how much paper you are using and how much is left.... :D

Yeah andy but i hear that this can sometimes malfunction causing repetative strain injury and a total loss of paper due to over use!!;)

LOL :D

shit i wondered what that paper view thing was...

I was just getting porn channels.

you obviously work in IT

you are all obviously newbies. This is quite obviously a mechanical failure of some kind inside the printer. What you needs to do is give it a good kicking and it will work just great ;)

you could always buy a new printer?

or is it under warranty?

not if its used toilet paper.

The only problem with SKY's 'Paper View', is a Pop-Up Stopper launching itself, you know the one, with the female voice ;)

Now if your printer is one of those real big buggers, is there a secret compartment underneath it, that resembles a 'Door'???

If there is, then there may be a reserve of 'Paper' contained within this 'secret' compartment. I know it's a long shot, but I thought it's worth a try.;)

Dave

ps; please let me know how you get on, as my printer is starting to show signs of running out of paper as well!!!

As we all know MDF has many many uses - would this be ok to use instead?

are you sure its not a desk you're looking at?

If all you guy's are into IT, what the hell are you doing using PAPER???!?!? I thought all this wonderful technology you guy's are responsible for fukin up was supposed to do away with the stuff?

yes but people still like paper... Makes them feel secure...
