My Z rad experiance in 4 years...................

Stock top hose sprung a leak:( replaced it and the top plastic feed pipe breaks off!

Buy two new end tanks from MJP and get an uprated core fitted to them.

The plastic end tanks are no longer available from Nissan,so your choice now is.

1 Fit a second hand rad

2 Buy a new one from Nissan

3 Go for an all alloy Koyo racing rad;)

And how much do these options cost mate?

MJP are in the trader section, cost me £30ish per tank, but like I said no longer available.you could try MJP he may know where there is a pair.

Also you would get a discount from him if you were a paid up member;)

Anyone know how much a new one is from nissan?????

There's a group buy on Koyo radiators - take a look in the trader's section! (Please - we need more people to get the price offered....)

I've had a similarly poor coolant history and I've only had the thing 3 months!

Chris, you could have my stock rad which is only a year old for £150 but depends if my Koyo arrives quickly...

Same thing happened to me. Rad sprung a leak, a local company recored it then found out the end tank was knackered. Managed to fabricate a new one and looks as good as new. £160 later and its fitted and no noticeable difference from what it was before, other than it doesn't leak anymore. The company was Berkshire Radiators, if you want the number I can dig it out for you.

Just fit an all alloy rad and have no more plastic end tanks break;)
