Hi

Just wondered if anyone can recommend any decent garages in the Bristol area. I need my cambelt and tensioner changing ASAP, Before anyone suggests Protechnical i have tried them, and anyway they did it a year and a half ago and it is 4 notches out.

There must be somewhere else in the area who can put a belt on a ZX!!??

Cheers

Jim

I dont think I would trust any body around here, go to Jeff TT nr Drayton,

In fact make a day of it, Drayton Manor theme park is literally next door.

And I am sure you will get a good deal, I did.

If you really want it done in Bristol try QAS in Filton, I know they a absolutely brill with Autoboxs and electrics and have done a good job on mine in the past and other zeds and GTO's, but not sure about jobs like that. They are the main Green Flag operator in this area.

Speak to John and ask if they done that sort of job before.

Not cheap though, but when you are stuck with a no go gearbox and they sort in a few days, without replacing any parts but charge you £300 what can you say.

That was 18 months , running OK since.

  • 1 year later...

was wondering if anyone can up date this?

There seems to be a load more 300s in Bristol now than when this tread was started in 03 (maybe I'm just noticing them more!!) - so were do you all take your cars then?

Cheers

Ztech is just down the road in Swindon, and is the most highly recomended 300zx specialist in the country.
