Iv been given the opportunity to have vertical doors fited to my car (****in expensive) but it will be a one off just wanted to know if any1 on this site has had them done b4 as it is diffucult to do.

If i do get them itll be sometime at the end of september.

 

Just wanted some opinions on what people think about them.

 

Iv only seen one 300zx with vertical doors and thats owned by a swede fella with a crazy yellow 300zx and its not in the uk its in sweden i think (could be another country but thats not the point)

 

anyway opinions greatly appreciated.

The first thing that springs to mind is, Will the doors shut properly and will it cause the targas to leak worse than they already possibly do.

 

Other than that, go for it fella. You should win a few competitions with them. Very trick!

Someone from here asked about them on the US site, and got flamed big style. The members over there got into trouble for it!:D Hahahahahaha!

 

Anyway, I have seen a couple of examples and I really like the look. I believe it is MASSIVELY expensive though......:(

go for it. i think they look cool and would be great in car parks, no more chipped doors.

 

i my self cant afford them and im having my doors replaced with the coloured streamer type doors u find in corner shops.

LOL I'm thinking of western saloon style doors for quick entry/exit ;)

 

How huge is the cost of installing gull wing doors?

well the kit is being sold to me for £1500 and is being fitted by the the supplier. It has to be modified to fit the 300zx so in total where looking at £2400 but yesterday i was involved in a accident i mounted a kerb at high speed (judged a corner wrong racing a modified renault 5 which was really quick but i still kicked his arse) iv damaged both my rims on the passenger side and iv bent the wheel which is now tilting so i might not be able to get them done now due to me having to fork out for some new wheels and maybe some suspension im just hoping it hasint damaged the hicas system.

 

Anyway gonna wait and c what the mechanis says to c the damage.
