Just a quick note check out the pic attached it is of the line pressure solenoid DROP RESISTER for the auto gearbox and it located high in the nearside wheel arch.
If you are suffering hard shock gear changes and or loss of drive at high speed then check the resistance of the afore mentioned should be around the 10 to 14 ohms range,
If as I found on one the other day it was open circuit, nothing else but to change it and in my case this restored smooth gear changes, this possibly makes an auto box look like it is in need of a rebuild when clearly it does not.
