I am thinking of ordering a centre prop shaft bearing from Courtesy. Is there a difference between the USA one and my Jap one. Do they always come mounted in the housing, or is it possible they have quoted me just on a bearing ?

Cheers

The price is $104 from Courtesy and they are all the same Jap, UK, US! It comes complete as a 'bearing in a bush with a bracket'

ready to bolt on to your prop. Also inculdes a new large nut & washer which you have to remove to replace the bearing, and you'll find it is staked to prevent it coming undone.....

Works out about £74 plus shipping, and RIP OFF VAT AND DUTY!

But still cheaper than £160 from Nissan UK or though I think Mike Feeney at MJP does 'em for about £130.

cheers Jon..;)

Jon,

Have you bought one from Courtesy ?

How much did it end up costing on top of Courtesy's price ?

John

$104 dollars for the bearing, $40 dollars shipping then another £30 pounds when it hit England, and yes from Courtesy, altough I did order a whole load of other bits & pieces, which made it more worth while. If you do order it from Courtesy I'd take the oppurtunity to order any other parts you need/might need, you know it makes sense...:p :D

..you have replaced the rear gearbox mount havn't you? It's the favourite culprit re prop shaft vibration, and easy and cheapish to do.

good luck

Jack,

Yes, I replaced the rear gearbox mount last week. It appears to have reduced the vibration. Its very difficult to tell what is 'normal'. I have never driven another zed, so I dont know if what I have now beyond the normal.

Thanks

Im in Derby, if you fancy coming over one evening, I can compare it to mine. Though cant do side by side comparison at the moment, as its having lots of goodies thrown at it ;)
