I just had to put this in here as I suspect that there are quite a few members who haven't read all the thread at the top of this forum.

I just did a quick check and noticed that there are 220+ members on this site who have posted more than 50 times each.

Even if you allow for some fast typing and verbal you know whats, these people have been here for a while and have got used to using the site and it's many benefits.

So how is it that there are only 120 members who have paid up the paultry £20 to support the site and it's work.

If you are one of the 100 'members' with 50+ posts and still unsubscribed then NOW IS THE TIME. You've all had at least £20 worth of membership so do the decent thing.

Personally, I would support banishment of anyone who gets over 50 posts without paying, you're freeloaders and you know who you are.

and I do feel better now that I've got that off my chest!

Judging by the poll, it would seem that there is a right answer to this and that's to force them to! :D

It also seems like a great chance to show people one of the benefits of joining, by acting on the opinions expressed in the members' poll... ;) :D

Perhaps if it was made really easy to join eg. clickable link and Paypal.

Took me a bit of effort to find out how to join; if I was the type to give up easily then I wouldn't have contin

Just re-read the origanl post. ....'and it's many benifits.'...erm apart from posting on here, what benifits, I don't own a Z yet?!

...'You've all had at least £20 worth of membership'...no I haven't, I aint got a Z, so what benifit does being on here have to me at the present, apart from a bit of fun with u guys, untill I buy my Z??

And as far as banishment, get real, if you ban people you wont have a forum anymore, cus there wont be enough interest, so wake up!!

Another 2p worth :D

DAVE

sits back and awaits the fallout!!

Just fogot to write this bit.

I take it as a personal insult to call anybody a freeloader, without knowing the circumstanses of each individual. You wrote this without thinking of the persons that it may effect, this could be someones favorite model of car, and they may be on low income, but still like to contribute to the site in a different way, and can't justify to spend £20. The thing is you don't know, but you were ready to ban them. Just because you can afford your car, you automatically assume everyone should! This isn't always the case, and don't get me wrong, I know there are people out there who are using the forum to there benifit, but not all.

if you was a fan of films, but because of personal circumstances couldnt afford to go to the cinema, would you expect to be let in for free then??????

the fact is, this place cost us subscribed members £20 each so everyone could enjoy it. do you think its fair then for us to continue paying while others freeload?? (i personally think its an accurate description - if you feel insulted, GOOD!! :p PAY UP!!!:D )

thats my views, & as iv paid my £20 i think they are FAR more valid than any non-subscribed members!! :D

Well thats a typical arrogant attitude of 'I've got money, and you aint, so there'. You just don't get the point do you? And with that attitude you never will. And as far as your view being more valid than any non-subscribed members...how about B****x!!!???? But to be fair, I did say that everyone is entitled to an opinion, and thats yours, so fair enough. And this is mine :D

Oh! and before you come back with anything else, my cheque will be in the post next pay day. Just to show that I wasn't just thinking of myself, but you wouldn't see it that way, because you obviously havent read all my posts in this thread properly. It's a shame you couldn't see the point, but when you are only thinking of yourself thats to be expected. If it had been pay-up-front from day one, you probably wouldn't be here would you, and neither would a lot of others, that is the point of the option to subscribe isn't it. I can understand that a lot of you are bitter about having to pay now on a regular (yearly) basis, insteed of just the one off payment that you had previously paid, but you thought it was fair then didnt you, and you were quite happy when you didnt have to pay at all!! Just think about that.

Anyway, that's enough on this subject from me, as I said, my cheque will be in the post next payday.

I think if you use this as a resource for information and or entertainment regulary then £20 isn't much to ask.

This thread should have been called:

"Can't Pay, Won't Pay" :D:D:D

FFS! Are you the kind who goes out with your mates to the pub and suddenly remember you have no money? Watching everyone around you stump up the cash... Actually, you HAVE gained from this site - you now have a lot of knowledge about the car when you go and buy it - you know bad points, what to look for, the list goes on! In fact, by being here before you buy it, it is saving you EVEN MORE money because you know to avoid the dogs.

Before you start about money, no actually, I'm completely broke at the moment, so don't even bother.

Forget 2p worth, thats my £20 worth :p In fact, your 2p is about all its worth! ;)

right, read all the *****x above, blah blah blah fookin blah. I have now some 200 posts, i have saved a shed load of cash from this site, i have been inspired by what some of you have done to your zeds, and in contrast sat back in amazement that some people actually take pride in the fact that there zed is standard (joking) so YES i feel shamed into admitting i havn't paid, promised earlier this year, didn't BUT its so damn difficult.

Tomorrow morning i will send that bloody cheque, and heres the deal - it will be for 40 squid, not 20, as a token of apology for 'freeloading' all this time, BUT BUT BUT the powers that be MUST stop all you faggots whingeing by making the payment a one click operation, in this day and age EVERYTHING is done

on-line, e.bay, amazon, etc etc, stop all this 1900's payment mallarkey and get it sorted, dont whinge that 'oh, that'll take some sorting out AND extra money' just do it - make it easy.

I love this place, loads of twats on here, but thats it charm. Whatever it costs to accept cc on line I AM SURE you will recoup back in no time at all, how many people do you think have the best intentions to join, read all the crap at the top and thiought screw that!! Do a pop-up after say 30 posts, telling people to enter there bloody number, and job done. Most will pay, the others wont, get a semi rude avatar for them until they pay, DONT shout that not all people have a cc either, if your on a site for the zed, you got no business being here without a card - 'cos your gonna need it.

If your unemployed as someone just mentioned - go and GET A JOB and stop masterbating over a supercar website and other peoples cars. And will all the subscribed members stop moaning all the time about this and that, from what I see, this site is undergoing major changes, if you want a clicky little place for all the old timers here, ban all the freeloaders and dont even let people register, then youve all got a nice little club to be elitist in, OR encourage new blood and make this place special.

TT.net is a great resource site BUT full of pricks - fact.

The above is MY opinion, and after that cheque clears, youll be getting some more of that - pussies:D :D :D

cheers ...lee

if you own a zed, then you can afford £20 subs!! & for your info, I have a family & have to budget carefully. paying to keep this place going was important to me tho.

You just don't get the point do you? And with that attitude you never will.

the point was, the members that paid kept this place going! without the commitment from us all we wouldnt be having this little chat ;)

And as far as your view being more valid than any non-subscribed members...how about B****x!!!???? But to be fair, I did say that everyone is entitled to an opinion, and thats yours, so fair enough. And this is mine

check the smileys ;) :D

cool  my post had a positive effect then :)

It's a shame you couldn't see the point, but when you are only thinking of yourself thats to be expected.

how could paying £20 for us all to benifit possibly be classed as thinking of myself??

If it had been pay-up-front from day one, you probably wouldn't be here would you, and neither would a lot of others, that is the point of the option to subscribe isn't it. erm, actually this has been discussed for some time now (in the members only areas ;) :p ) & most of us are happy to pay again, but feel that it would be fair if non-subscribed members were to pay up 1st, bringing the costs down for all.

Anyway, that's enough on this subject from me, as I said, my cheque will be in the post next payday.

like i said, glad i could help!! RESULT!!!!!!!! 1 extra membership, brings the cost of next years membership down to £9.75!!! :D :D

oh, BTW, you forgot to answer my question!!! :p

well, would you?????????

sat here quitely reading posts and thought i'd throw in my thoughts

As a non Z32 owner but a owner of a 280ZX logged on to this site out of intrest as an enthusiast of the whole Z range.

when it was asked that the forum needed funds to help keep the site running paid my as I believed at the time my one off £20 fee

to help keep it running as an enthusiast of the Z/ZX marque.

Ater reading that out of the 1656 subscribed members only 120 had paid their £20 was somewhat shocked to find that as an non Z32 owner I had thought it was worthwhile to pay up and 1500 approx registered Z32 owners had not thought it was worth while

IMHO if the proposed £20 annual fee is just to keep the forum running for these 1500 non paying registered members I willl have to think seriously on whether as a enthusiast of the marque I want to pay out annually for 1500 skinflints to use this site

If however the annual £20 is for setting up a club that is run along the lines of the Z Club would certainly be willing to pay up the paultry sum of £20

However with this next statment, I expect to be insulted, theatened, swore at and worse even thrown in the lake at Billing next year, If people want to belong to an annual fee paying club they could join the Z Club that has been in existance for twentyseven years and has 620 FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS who willingly pay thier annual subscription and only they get any advantage out of the club

whilst on this forum 6.5% of the 1656 registered members who have paid there one of fee to keep it up and running have done so for the benifit of the 93.5% other users of this site

Could also go into various Z /ZX Clubs in the UK that have been started and then folded after a couple of years but that is a different topic

Remember I'm old and thickskinned and had more insults, during my involvement in the Z/ZX scene, than some of you here can throw at me

Online "one click" payment is an option but not seriously viable at the moment, there are certain compilcations involved with the site that we would probably end up with (paypal).

Go on then, I said i wouldn't say anything else, but sod it, I will

Very niceley put, but no I don't freeload on my mates, the reason I'm currently not subscribed, is cus i've recentley split from my wife, and money is short when you have to split it more, so there. Like I said next payday.

And Paul, Nice splitting up and answering to my post, you make a good point, except that I was subscribing anyway, reason above :D

I don't hold anything against you guys, it's just that the real point can be lost with some ill chosen words at times, and possible new members can be put off joining all together. I feel that the intention of this thread was well meant, but badley stated, all that is happening is you could put new blood off, and you always need new blood.

There you go another 2p worth, or is it £20 worth this time :D

As I stated at the start, i'm glad to pay my subs, it's just taken a while, and to be honest, I didn't expect to post quite as much as I did, but then it just goes to show how addictive this site is :D

thanks!! :D can i do it again??

it's just that the real point can be lost with some ill chosen words at times

like I said - i think the real point is:

IF NO-ONE HAD PAID UP THIS SITE WOULDNT BE HERE!!!!

As I stated, Id hold anything against you guys, to be honest, I didn't expect £20 worth this time

oh, & to put it into perspective:

£20 works out at just over 5p a day!!!!

are you really saying you cant afford 5p?!!?!?!?

for me yep! :(

i'm toooooo poor (right now).

graduated last year with debt, and currently own a Micra (E reg) which has to last me about 300 miles a week. I just go on this site as in about 2 years was thinking of looking for a performace sports car, and by looking at the forums, I can have a look at the type of problems and how many problems the owners get, and what type of cars they thrash day in day out.

I could afford to donate a few measly quid, but that's it....and yep it's through nochex though. And anyhow, do all those members actually post?

Anyway, also wanted to say what a brill site this is with an execllent forum.

After my p***ing week, i have had to pay for a new A/C belt to be fitted to my Ferrari Tesstarossa and me Ferrari 328 needed new rear tyres, as for the MV Agusta its service was done on friday:mad: the point is i aint got no money, can anyone lend me £20:D . Does anyone sympathise with me and understands my pain:D :D .TE! HE!....oh yea and i put a fiver in the Z.

True.

I think representatives and organisers from other clubs/sites such as Steve and Branners should be granted posting rights anyway, its not like they are freeloaders and we need communication between the clubs.

LOL, I've paid and don't even like Zeds. :)
