Its my wedding anniversary next weekend and my (American) wife has never been to the south coast. I`d like to whip her to Southampton for he weekend when I get the Zed back from JeffTT on Saturday morning.

 

Can anyone suggest a good hotel in the area?

 

p.s. had to stick this in help and advice as:

 

1/ It is help that I`m after

 

2/ my membership has not been confirmed despite mailing my cheque 23 days ago

They have a very good hotel booking service.

hotel ibis, quite cheap, standard rooms, or novotel, slightly more upmarket but still value for money -02380 330550, or if you really want to wooo her, hotel grand harbour, 5 star, all the trimmings and good weekend rates!!!

Just booked us in at the hotel grand harbour. What the hell, we only have an anniversary once a year huh?

 

I`m not going to tell her......just sneak a suitcase down to Jeff during the week then take her from Tamworth straight down there....SURPRISE!!!!.......she loves surprises

the grand harbour? is that a de vere hotel, if it is then I've stayed at it, posh 5 star effort. the only problem is leaving your car in the big public car park next door. (although a portion of this is reserved for the hotel parking, i wasnt to chuffed about leaving the zed there overnight.)

I`ll have to call them....don`t like the Zed parked outside even, never mind in a public car park overnight....

grand harbour - fook me, AT LEAST 5 tanks of go go juice for the zed per night me thinks:eek: :eek:

 

seriously, just tell them straigth that you will only keep the booking if the zed can go in 'the donut' bit out front, they will know what you mean, and should not be a problem at the weekend., although main car park VERY well covered with LOTS if infrared cctv AND movement detectors in hotel bit.
