Registering a jap import...

After filling in the necessary registration forms to register my newly imported jap import, i've received the tax disc through the post this morning....

But nothing else (apart from the docs I sent them ie mot).

I was led to believe that once I'd receieved the tax disc (plus other docs?) I could go and get the reg plates made up so I could actually drive the vehicle rather than wait 2-3 weeks for a logbook?

But the only thing I have is the tax disc? I get a sneaky suspicion that the dvla haven't sent me all that they should have .

Has anyone got reg plates made up on a tax disc only?

btw, who makes up the square number plates for the rear bumper?

DVLA absolute *********************ers!

Bought my TT import from dealer in London at time Wimbledon dvla office was under investigation for stolen jap cars.

Mine wasnt but took 4 months for log book to arrive so couldnt put private plate on. No apologies!

Good place for plates is http://www.fancyplates.com

Any plate any size & NO DOCUMENTS needed! (Irish)

mine only took 4 days to come. Good luck!

You don't have to wait for the log book your car is legal now.

So get yourself down to the nearest number plate shop have them made while you wait and go and play.

I don't know how you can hold it in?
