But how can you be Dave? That would mean that Peter Hood is talking total and utter sh1te again...

What bit of what I have said is' total and utter shite'. I've already stated in so many words that I'm no expert but just going on experience.

Sorry Paul- just ignore me, obviously I'm a ****ing knob head

Its seen some action this picture. The person who took it should charge you royalties every time you use it.

Hey !!!

You got them all queuing up for the body shop there Peter ?

Hood- don't take the ****ing piss out of my ****ing car.

I am more than happy with the way it is now, if you want to stay stock, then that is fine by me, it is your car and stock zeds look nice.

However, that does not grant you the licence to take a "holier than thou" attitude and slag off anyone who has the "audacity" to modify their car.

Well in terms of the cosmetic mods assuming you're talking about the silver car, yes you've got some plastic bits attached to your car, if you like it good.

The performance stuff , the JWT ECU, hope you didn't pay too much for it unless it's been set up on a rolling road specific to your car, otherwise it's a chip you could get for a tenner! Again if you're running high performance mods you should expect premature failure of components.

Always nice to have wheels of your own choice!

Obviously changing the suspension components will have ongoing implications for wear and tear of the other suspension parts, but if you like the ride that's the main thing.

Obviously a stainless exhuast will reap long term benefits.

The benefits of a respray are a bit more dubious if it's resprayed the original colour probably O.K. ,however if the respray is different to the original colour and it's visible anywhere i.e. interior panels the cars value is very much depreciated.

If I could find a decent local sprayer.

Dave W,

Not taking the piss out of anyones car, if thats the mods you want then go for it, I was only stating what I saw in the photo.

Don't you remember typing this?

I paid just under the going rate for the JWT ECU; due to a group buy organised by Nico (one of the forum founders) - for himself, PaulG Simon Pass and myself. You can pay a tenner for a 'knock-off' ECU but I bought mine from JWT, this fee included costs for his development of this technology, apart from the cost of a mapped EPROM. Many high BHP cars in the US (twinturbo.net members) possess this ECU.

Yes :D

The 300ZX was designed by fat-arsed Americans, for fat-arsed Americans :D. This ride 'quality' was not to my taste

I agree - some of the more expensive Japanese systems (eg Blitz/HKS ets) are mild steel with stainless mufflers. The Mongoose is of full stainless construction, and is therefore rust-proof.

The car was resrayed by Peter Hunter at PPS (aka LEONARDO - http://www.modifiedatpps.co.uk) He is widely recognised as one of the best bodykit fitters/car painters in the country. He has prepared many showcars for magazines and has many satisfied 300ZX customers on this forum; including MAC1, ChrisC, 300Z, SMW1, martinfa, topless- he has completed paint/kit jobs of almost 20 zeds.

dont worry Stu, theres no accounting for taste!!

theres also no accounting for being a ****er!!!! :D

I think anyone who modifies their car is a total tw@t especially if it blows up and they then spend all their money not just to fix it, but then to modify it further still!! - Have they learned nothing? -W@nkers!!!

PMSL. :D:D

Look, thought this was a bit of light hearted banter, obviously people take it more seriously than I intended, sorry if anyone's offended. Not interested in getting into slanging matches over a car so I'll be keeping my opinions to myself in future!
