Had to happen sooner or later I suppose

:( :( :(

Got a nasty brown envelope through the door this morning with a speed....think postmark thing on it, realising its not my Birthday i figured this must be some sort of unsolicited mail:mad:

39 in a 30 oh toss, bugger bum and all the other words that can get through the filter:(

Dont they realise that faster cars can stop quicker than the average car so therefore my car shouldnt be classed as speeding!!!

Now funny thing is, My auntie was over from Belgium at the time and i cant remember if she was driving it, or whether i had lent it to my mates mate who lives in Southern Ireland!!!

I'm going to phone them tommorrow to ask for the photographic evedence so as to help me identify the driver, which according to the leafet that they have afforded to produce about it with the millions of pounds they have ripped off poor motorists going a tiny bit too fast, they have to supply me with.

Cant of been me at 9.17 am !!! I simply dont get up that early!!

Might nip out and buy a local paper too, see if i know anyone who has died since saturday;)

Never mind mate, try the 'no signing it' trick, see what happens. 3 points shouldn't effect you to much (unless it's your last 3 points!!)

B19,

IMHO opinion the relative from abroad, or the test driver whilst it was up for sale is the way to go, that way you cannot be accused of obstructing justice, as you are supplying the info the are asking for, its not down to you if they cant prosecute due to the fact that the person a) gave you a duff name or b) lives out of the country. Best of luck

Jock

Do make sure that you've seen the photographic evidence before you try that route, though, as if it's obviously you in the car, you can get into worse trouble.

Best thing to do is get someone else to fill it in for you and not to sign it.

It becomes inadmissable then, as in the Dwight Yorke case.
