Guys,

I have noticed that at the drivers side back of the engine there is a white sheafed wire that leads to a connector which hangs down the back of the engine, probably should be attached to a clip or something, but it hangs and its OK there. There seems to be an identical wire on the other side too!

Thing is, one of the wires coming out the other side of the connector (2 in total) is broken.

NOW, the car runs fine (TOUCH WOOD

Not sure what to do?!?! Does anyone know what this wire is?

Sounds like it could be one of the O2 sensor leads to me. Do you have a picture ?

You really wanna have these things connected (unless the sensor is broken of course). What do you get if you do an ECU diag ?

Or the cable for one of the VTC solenoids, think they're sheathed in white braid and go to the back of the heads.

First of all whats an O2 sensor and does anyone have a close up pic of the engine bay at all??

Havent done an ECU diag since having the car back from option, 2 weeks and 700 miles, doing well guys!!!!:D

Will do a diag at dinner and see what I get!

So I should really get this connected then, if you look at the wiring for the VTC, it does diagramise (

What are the implications of not having this connected??!??

It's not the connectors for the boost solenoid thingies is it?

There would be one each side of the engine towards the back.

They might have been disconnected if you have some kind of boost controller fitted...
