Hi everyone. When I first start my Zed I get strange noise from the power steering I think - best way to describe it is that it kind of sounds like somebody is using a strimmer a couple of streets away.

Anyway, once the car has warmed up the noise goes away. Does this sound like something I should be worried about!!??...

Cheers,

Andy

Silly question for you......have you checked the PS fluid level?

As I am new to Zeds, where is the resevoir?

It's the big green pot on top of the drivers side wheel arch.

Almost definately needs topping up.

Is the red HICAS light not lit on the dash?

If the level is low enough to be making a noise then the light should be on.

If you bought it from a dodgy dealer like I did you'll find they pulled the bulb out to hide a fault...

Cheers Chris, I will check the level tonight.

It was a private sale, but I will check the bulb anyway.

Vijay, I am South East, between Charlton and Woolwich, probably movnig South West soon though.

Also it's Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Dexron II or III you need to use.
