Lee,

have u made sure you'v tightened the loom properly i.e. the bolt that goes into the ecu? and make sure u push in both ends of the connector securely!

cheers

jaz

yes mate the connectors in evenly all the way accross. do you think it could be a coincidence as i have just driven back from billing( the longest drive this car has had since japan). i would say the car feels like it is not running on all cylinders. it idles really jerky. i checked the coil packs and one had the carbon tip missing but was not causing the problem. any other suggestions?

...thanks

does the ecu have a learning period on the zed, if so would this make the car run like crap

The ECU is adaptive and will take time to re learn the engines parameters but only if the ECU has been without a power supply for a while (like dissconecting the battery)

Not sure how quick it re-learns though, couple of hundred miles maybe but i'm no expert on ECU's

Robin

Mine seemed to have finished re-learning after only about 100 miles - all hard driving round Lancashire back roads. The second trip out after the ECU reset was noticably better than the first.

But then I have an AVC-R to muddy the waters too...

LEEZX,

I also run a MINES ECU and can not run on anything else but optimax as the car runs poorly , From what I can gather the MINES was set up for Japanese 100ron fuel and the closest we can get to it in the UK is Optimax
