Cool, that car is featured in the rides section of TT.net isn't it? Sure I've seen it on there, absolutely awesome spec.

That would have shut Mr. Green up at Billing, just slightly methinks...LARGE!

Tim

;-)

nope it's not on tt.net rides - sparkies maybe but definitely not our one, it only made it to our workshop 2-3 weeks ago.

Heck i was the first to drive it a fortnight back smile.gif

What the red one??

That mad feckin' car only has standard brakes and six hundred horses??

Andeley Andeley Arriva Arriva, get outttttaa maaa wayyyy smile.gif

LOL

yes the red one.. and yes the brakes are one of the first things to go.. we're going to put in (most likely) 13.5" big f**k off rotors with 4 pot wilwood calipers (seeing it's not intended as a daily driver). And we'll be retrofitting ABS as I found out the hard way it didn't have ABS.. ever lock up 300 brakes ? all you feel inside the car is the front end wandering from left to right at 100mph running out of road this ain't fun.

It actually has no problems with stopping.. the tyres are shite and are going as well..

I thought you were on about the Raptor...

Got ya! Seen it now...but the Raptor is the ultimate motor, that's what I've seen on TT.net...

How's the weather in OZ Rowan? Been bloody scorching here in Blightey mate so must be killin' off the old folk out there fella!

Tim,

Sounds to me like they should have the silly Z that was at SE on the 600plus.com site. That's supposed to be over 600bhp, hence the 600zx name!

What was the name of the fella that owns it ?

Andy

1) I'm not australian! Kiwi = New Zealand

2) Raptor probably does have a nice motor, pity about the turbos and manifolds.... the motor in our puppy is fully worked so theres little to no difference there, infact I think we've got bigger injectors and bigger cams in ours..(given the lumpy as idle) plus carillo rods ain't cheap wink.gif

We're going to be pulling the motor on ours in about 3 weeks and tidying up the engine bay and making it all look presentable and be the goods as well.

Sorry Rowan mate, been a hectic weekend...at first I posted your name as Paul hence the edit! LOL!

Andy,

You mean the Stillen kitted monster?

Yup its Andy Eleftheriou (I think this is the spelling).

Pete at SE should have the contact details.

see ya,

Trev.

I liked that car more than Mr. Green at Billings'...although Warren will tell you that it's arse! LMAO!

When you look into the engine bay of a Z and you see party popper sized NOS cartridges and then see what Andy Mousaka had setup on his...no comparison...his was a SERIOUS NOS SETUP! Flick the switch on that baby and you could overtake the Space Shuttle!!!!!!!!

Tim

;-)

P.S. Andrew, it must be waaaaayyyyy past your bedtime mate! LOL!

Thing is I was told Andy Eleftheriou likes to drive hard and hence he bent the the rods that attach to the pistons into a nice "S" shape!

I didnt speak to that guy with the green Zed at billing, his car looked more show than go. But still a nice Zed to have anyway.

T.

Hi,

John Shaw's Strosek bodied 300 does go well...apparently had 500bhp at one stage! We spent the day with him last year, filming for Carlton Television's 'Pulling Power' programme. His car was featured at the end of a piece about 'The Heart Of England Z Group'.We filmed it at Avon Raceway, near Stratford...and got to use the Drag strip for free at the end of filming! I only had a Z31 300ZX at the time, but it was fun riding in a couple of Skylines that came along for the day. wink.gif

He certainly doesn't set out to win any friends though, does he?

JEZ

ill take him on ?(when my car is working propelry lol)

you see its easy to challenge anyone here, cause my cars not working properly lol so i can back out .

That is looking BadAss Rowan !! - Would like to see what numbers you get outta that when you swap out the Fuel system !

How is your baby doing bro - still stuck at stage 3 wink.gif

AndyE 600bhp - JShaw 500bhp - did i mention mine was running 1500bhp with no bottle and just bleeders and 360TB's and bigger compressor wheels cough splutter cought Etc. My Dyno sheet ..... erm my dog Stole it ROFLMAO ....

Z ya

Nico 91TT

nico.. re seeing numbers.. you and me both smile.gif it's going to be a loooong couple of months while we sort everything out.

still stuck at stage 3.. hmmm.... that dissappeared when my loan on the car hit the magic $0.00 wink.gif My poor old turbos are completely naffed, shagged, stuffed, poked, toasted.. so going to be building up a spare engine and dropping it in soonish, just depends on spare time and getting all the bits and pieces..mmmm..tubular manifolds wink.gif

Rowan mate,

Knew you wouldn't be happy at stage 3 for that long. . . . wink.gif

Puttin mine back together in a week or so got a nice set of T3 Hybrids going one them -Aiming for Genuine 550 RWHP ( with Proof, PowerMeter ID proof, hey Johnny boy wink.gif ) by the start of next season.

Keep us posted on how yours is coming along ... What blowers are ya going for ? T75's wink.gif

Z ya

Nico 91TT

Yep, Mr Green was a pretty tidy car. I do doubt he uses all its horses though. I was checking out the arches and those massive tires, I couldn't help but notice that he had used tyre shine on the tread confused.gif !

He was obsessive. He just spent the whole day walking around the car with a duster. He was even wiping his own fingerprints off the spoiler when he closed the boot - sad !

Lots of people looked at Johnny's car, a much nicer colour and a car that is clearly used (full of crap).

what *exactly* is in these T3 hybrids of yours (feel free to email me offline). I think you might be getting lead up the garden path to get 550rwhp out of them.. thats like 650flyHP.. thats a lot of grunt, infact rephrase that - a f**kload of grunt - I don't like downing on people but something smells fishy there matey... people with HKS GT turbos are only just getting that power out of them.

Either that or some English humour I've not quite picked on !

As for my blowers. Big ones. But not too big.. something driveable on our B-Roads. I mean even with new Toyo T1S's 265/40/17 big and TCS dialed in on 10% I'm can get some good oversteer out of 60mph corners. Going to do the full monty to make sure nothing is restricted, ie custom dump pipes, manifolds etc all on a Stock prepped bottom end. Going to HPC coat everything in sight!

Should be more fun than getting into bed with Liz Hurley smile.gif

the thing with the hks stuff, is people are getting the results they dont want out of them, alot of people have come back and moaned about the gt25/30 blowers so i recon even t28's or to3 or even to4 garrets probably flow more.

(i know the post was aimed at nico but i thaught id give my two cents)

I think you'll find that there's not a heck of a lot of difference between GT2530's and proper (note I say proper not US spec) T28's. The GT series spool up a bit quicker coz of the goodness that is ball bearings, but I don't think the wheel sizes are drastically different from full house T28's.

Theres a quite a bit of difference between a full house T28 and a T3 hybrid (depending what exactly the hybid is) .. which will be in the top end flow. That restrictive stock turbine housing is just asking for #6 failures.

T04B/E territory.. now theres a bit of fun smile.gif theres someone in Aussie and someone in Peurto Rico running those size turbos. But I think our TD06's are a bit bigger again.

At the end of the day though I think a lot of people go "the power the power" and just don't realise how much power it actually is... in England & New Zealand we have to go round corners on the throttle (and lots of them) different story to the US which is just miles and miles and miles of nothing but straight running frown.gif
